Free Citizenship Classes – Curriculum taught by Indiana Accredited EL teachers
La Casa de Amistad’s citizenship classes focus on the English reading, writing, comprehension skills, and Civics requirements (100 civics questions) needed to pass the citizenship Interview and exam. We offer individualized citizenship interview preparation and practice, utilizing the N400 Application for Naturalization questions, in a confidential classroom environment in both English and Spanish.
Our Citizenship Program boasts a 100 % pass rate of the USCIS Naturalization exam and interview among the students graduating our bilingual citizenship classes, from the beginning of our program in 2007 through the present. The classes are offered in English (and in Spanish for those qualifying for the Naturalization interview in their native language). That’s over 800 U.S. citizens and counting, over the past 13 years! In addition, these classes have produced U.S. Citizens representing over 42 countries from around the world.
Citizenship Classes meet 3 times a year for 10 weeks, in the spring, summer, and fall, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11am-1pm, or 5-7pm. Spanish citizenship classes meet during the same times on Tuesdays/Thursdays from 5-7pm.
This year (2020) our morning classes will begin on February 11, and evening classes will begin on February 18. All classes meet on the 3rd floor, suite 326 of the Marycrest Singer Hammes building at 2015 W. Western Ave., South Bend, IN 46619.
