Goshen Resident Identification Card (GRID)
The Goshen Resident ID card is for residents who live within the city limits of Goshen, Ind. The card will be of particular help to people who are unable to get a driver’s license or other form of official identification. This includes immigrants as well as elderly, formerly incarcerated and homeless people.
We have partnered with The Center for Healing and Hope to run the GRID program in the City of Goshen. La Casa de Amistad has set forth the restrictions and guidelines for this program while also providing the cards and back end support. This is our first satellite ID program that was initiated in November of 2017 in partnership with the Center for Healing and Hope and the Mayor’s Office of the City of Goshen.
The GRID allows residents to identify themselves for instances such as picking up children from school, obtaining financial statements, and ordering official transcripts from a local college or university. A primary benefit is being able to interact with the City of Goshen services such as Goshen Police Department, Goshen Fire Department and city buildings/services. The GRID is designed to keep the Goshen community safe.
